Recent studies have shown that some animals have the ability to help people work with their emotions. They can foster a sense of acceptance and connection. These loving animals can also help people relax, petting them has been shown to help reduce blood pressure. So I wanted to take some time and introduce you to my two trusted therapy assistants who you will certainly want to meet!

Cookie is a Shih Tzu. She is very soft and loves to be close to people. She has the ability to sense when people need comfort and will go up to them and sit next to them or sometimes even lay across their lap. She is very friendly and loves to work with children as well as adults.

Emma, a Boston Terrier, is talented in helping people laugh and lighten up. She has a very outgoing temperament at times, jumping and “kissing” people into joy. It is amazing to see how she can help people shift emotional states. At other times she is very gentle and will lay down next to people inviting them to pet her and relax.
