MISSION STATEMENT:

DeMers Mental Health (DMH) is a holistic center for transformation and change of the Emotional, Mental and Spiritual aspects of life for the GLBT community in Salt Lake City and around Utah.

DMH is focused on teaching people how to bring the many facets of their lives into balance to achieve optimal health and wellness with individual, couple and group counseling, and through medication when necessary. We provide an open, honest, compassionate, non-judgmental atmosphere for everyone to explore their lives, and move toward self- understanding, self-acceptance and balance.

Shaun DeMers, MS, APRN has been working in the mental health field for the past 10 years. He graduated with a Masters of Science degree from the University of Utah and is a Nationally Board Certified Advance Practice Psychiatric Nurse. His areas of interest include Gay, Lesbian, Transgender, Bisexual mental health, grief and loss, depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, personality disorders, addiction, sexuality and gender identity.
